Alberto Costa MP was delighted to recently attend the BAVG Social Coffee Morning at St. Mary’s Church in Broughton Astley. Alberto met with several residents to discuss his role as an MP and to listen to the residents’ concerns on both national and local issues.
Alberto was joined by local County Councillor Neil Bannister. Both Alberto and Neil also had the opportunity to hear from the organisers, Nicky and Jenny, about all the other work of BAVG.
Alberto said, “I was given a very warm welcome by the residents and the organisers, Nicky and Jenny from the Broughton Astley Volunteer Group, who do a fantastic job in organising this very well-attended and friendly coffee morning. I was pleased to be joined in the visit by the County Councillor, Neil Bannister. Neil and I spoke to a number of residents who raised a range of issues and views with us.
Both of us also came away being very impressed with the range of activities promoted by BAVG. I hope we can return for another visit later in the year.”
