Rural Community Council Awards 2022

The BAVG were proud to win an award in the category “Connecting People” from the Rural Community Council in November 2022. This is an accolade not only to the dedicated trustees of the charity but all the volunteers young and old in Broughton Astley who make the team proud to be helping the local community. Well done team!

Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire Recognition

In April 2021 we were delighted to receive recognition of all of our volunteers’ work with a letter and card from Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Mike Kapur OBE.

Co-Op Neighbour of the Year 2020

Mark was honoured and humbled to receive the CO-OP Neighbour of the Year East Midlands award this week. He was happy to receive this award on behalf of the BAVG and would like to thank everyone for all the kind comments he has received personally and on social media this week. Although Mark initiated the group he is keen to stress that without our wonderful 300 volunteers this accolade would never have been awarded. So this award is for all at BAVG and will be proudly displayed at the Village Hall for all to admire – at a socially accepted distance of course!

The greatest award is the appreciation of the community
