On 17 March 2024 the BAVG was proud to celebrate its 4th birthday with a cake to celebrate at our regular social group coffee morning at St Mary’s church.
Originally set up to support the vulnerable and isolated during covid, with 300 volunteers in the village, the BAVG has evolved to create local community groups including the coffee morning.
The coffee mornings have been running for over 2 1/2 years now which equates to approximately 120 sessions with about 8,000 cups of coffee served! We now also regularly have 65-70 people through the doors and peaked at 86!
The BAVG continue to develop groups, such as knit & natter, art group, Kurling & boccia, gardening and litter picking opportunities, day trips out with the help of the Broughton Bus and, are even about to now run the Tuesday morning luncheon club at Thomas Estley.
