A delightful Summer Garden Party was enjoyed by many residents on Saturday, 27th June at St Mary’s church.
The sun was shining, thankfully not quite as hot as the previous few days’ heatwave! There was endless tea, coffee and cold drinks on supply with a typical English afternoon tea spread of sandwiches, quiche, and sausage rolls. Followed by a splendid selection of home-baked cakes, baked by volunteers and members of the W.I.
A particular mention of thanks to Rock Choir Leicestershire Choir, led by Sarah Stephens, for their entertainment with many enjoying a sing along, and Eats on Main Street, BA who helped with the catering.
But our wonderful volunteers from the BAVG and St Mary’s church and G. Sellers truly made this a memorable afternoon.
