Community Allotment

We have a large community allotment plot at Western Willows allotments near the wildlife garden.

The purpose of the allotment is to support positive physical, mental and emotional health and well-being by being active, producing & eating healthy food, learning new skills, developing friendships, reducing isolation, and being part of your local community in a safe and relaxed environment.

A group of volunteers of all ages have already worked hard over the last year to clear the plot, create pathways and create micro-plots for anyone wanting a more manageable plot or small plot to start out in gardening.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to join our group, who can offer anything from time, knowledge or surplus tools or seeds. In addition, if there are groups that may want an outdoor space to work on or companies that want to boost their charity, or environmental credentials let us know.

We welcome all ages, abilities, and experiences and feel everyone can add value to this project.
